ShopBot Vacuum Motors for CNC Routers

ShopBot Vacuum Motors for CNC Routers

Shop replacement vacuum motors for ShopBot CNC router applications and hold-down systems. This collection includes 8.4-inch motor options with dual ball bearings and a metal horn. Review the installation requirements below before ordering or installing.

ShopBot motor installation requirements

  • Use a gasket approximately 3/8 inch thick between the motor and its mounting surface.
  • Support the motor approximately 3/16 inch above the box or shelf surface.
  • Support the motor both under and over the three mounting tabs.
  • Provide filtered cooling air to the lower bearing. For each motor, include at least a 1/4-inch drilled opening in the bottom of the table or plumbing, and cover the opening with a filter.
  • For OD motors, provide at least 3/8 inch of filtered leakage air per motor.
  • 8.4" motors do not require a leakage hole, and are thermally protected.

Important cooling and warranty note

Insufficient filtered leakage air can overheat and destroy the motor. Follow these requirements carefully, because motor damage caused by inadequate cooling may not be covered by the warranty. Check the individual product details for the motor's dimensions, electrical specifications, and mounting requirements.
